About This Event

Writing the Absurd with Steff Sirois

on Tuesday, March 31 from 7 to 8:30 pm @ the Workshop Gallery in Building 3 at Ball & Socket Arts

In an increasingly absurd world abundant in despair, fear, and loneliness, why should our writing be any less absurd? Absurdism encourages us to get weird—to consider what is possible when we acknowledge the absurdity of life by refusing the existence of meaning, traditional genre conventions, and plot structures. In this workshop, we’ll identify the absurdities present in our everyday lives, draw inspiration from absurdist works, and practice infusing our work with absurdism. Come write, and get ready to get weird!

Workshop is limited to 12 participants, so be sure to register now! Writers at all levels are welcome to attend.

$30 gets you 90 minutes of instruction in the Workshop Gallery at Ball & Socket Arts. If cost presents a barrier to your participation, please reach out to our team for options at info@ballandsocket.org.
