Late Summer & Fall Guided Hiking at CVPC

Join us for some guided hiking in Cromwell Valley Park.

Meeting place: We’ll begin from the Sherwood side. Cromwell Valley Park has two entrances. Please use the first entrance off Cromwell Bridge Road (if coming from the Beltway) - 2002 Cromwell Bridge Road, Parkville, MD 21234.  Meeting at the picnic tables in front of the Sherwood House. 

What to bring: Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water and your binoculars.

Cost: $5 per person, with all funds supporting Cromwell Valley Park Council, Inc.
Register for one or for all!    With the purchase of any NEW MEMBERSHIP, the cost of the hike is included.

Hike #1:   TWO DAM HIKE REDUX
Saturday, August 29th at 9:00 am
Estimated Duration: 2.5-3 hours
• Distance: 4 miles;    • Elevation Change: 550 feet
• Actiivity Level:   Moderate

Hike #2:   GLEN ELLEN HIKE
Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 am
Estimated Duration: 3 - 3.5- hours
• Distance: 6 miles;    • Elevation Change: 1,000 feet
• Actiivity Level:   Strenuous

Hike #3:   HIKE THE PARK PERIMETER
Saturday, October 17th at 9:00 am
Estimated Duration: 3 - 3.5- hours
• Distance: 6 miles;    • Elevation Change: 1,000 feet
• Actiivity Level:   Strenuous

General Conditions: 

• Registration for this event constitutes the acceptance of the WAIVER OF LIABILITY
• No hikers under the age of 18 (so sorry!!!)
• No pets allowed.
• No alcohol, tobacco nor recreational drugs allowed.
• Be courteous and respectful of all birders.   We will walk at the pace of the slowest hiker.
• If you pack it in, you pack it out.
