CVP Council presents a Holiday Night Hike

Ever wonder what Cromwell Valley looks like after dark?

Friday, December 18th at 6:00 pm

Join us for a very special holiday adventure as we explore the park under the stars.   This intermediate level, 3.5 mile hike will wander through the park meadows and beautiful pine tree grove.  The trails take on a whole new character under the winter night sky.  

Holiday attire and festive lighting is encouraged. Wear your favorite holiday hat or decorate yourself, your back pack or your hiking gear with Christmas lights and decorations to make the trails sparkle!

Elevation Gain:  500 feet

Meeting place: Cromwell Valley Park has two entrances. Please use the first entrance off Cromwell Bridge Road (if coming from the Beltway) - 2002 Cromwell Bridge Road, Parkville, MD 21234.  Meeting at the picnic tables in front of the Sherwood House at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2026. 

What to bring: A flashlight or headlight - essential; Sturdy hiking shoes or boots; Warm winter holiday clothing; Water 

Time Duration:   About 1.5 hours

HIKE IS LIMITED TO 20 PEOPLE.   REGISTER EARLY!

AGES 18+ ONLY

Cost: $5 per person for CVPC Members;  $10 for non-members, with all funds supporting Cromwell Valley Park Council, Inc.   With the purchase of any NEW MEMBERSHIP, the cost of the hike is included.  See package descriptions.

General Conditions: 

• Registration for this event constitutes the acceptance of the WAIVER OF LIABILITY
• No hikers under the age of 18 (so sorry!!!)
• No pets allowed, service pets welcomed.
• No alcohol, tobacco nor recreational drugs allowed.
• Be courteous and respectful of all birders.   We will walk at the pace of the slowest hiker.
• If you pack it in, you pack it out.
