About This Event
Spring Art Show & Fundraiser
Daybreak Arts invites the community to an evening that expands how we define art, who gets to be seen, and why that visibility matters. The Spring Art Show & Fundraiser will take place Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Ugly Mugs Coffee & Tea in East Nashville, bringing together original artwork, live performance, and community support in direct service of artists experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
At its core, the event is a public affirmation that artistic talent is not limited by housing status, income, or circumstance. Daybreak Arts works with artists whose creative voices are often overlooked or excluded from traditional gallery spaces, creating opportunities for them to develop their practice, share their work, and be recognized as professional artists. The Spring Art Show places that work in full view of the community—not as an exception, but as an essential contribution to Nashville’s cultural and artistic landscape.
What to Expect
- Art Exhibition featuring original work for sale by Daybreak Artists
- Live music performance by the Nashville Voices of Resilience Homeless Choir
- Beer, wine, and spirits available with proceeds benefitting Daybreak Arts
- Fresh coffee for purchase from Ugly Mugs
- Henna from 9Muses Henna
- Door prizes including FREE PIZZA FOR A YEAR
- Silent auction
- Instant photo portraits
Rather than positioning the artists overcoming homelessness as subjects of charity, the event centers them as creators whose work holds cultural, emotional, and artistic value in our city. Every piece on display represents not only personal expression, but also the ongoing reality that many artists face significant barriers to visibility simply because of their housing and income status.
Your attendance directly supports programs like Gigi's Creative Corner, Next Horizon Academy, and our growing Artist Collective—all built in response to the needs and goals of our community.
Come experience the work. Meet the artists. Be part of what we’re building together.
Help Us Reach our Goal
We’re working toward a $15,000 fundraising goal by June 30, and every contribution helps. If you’re able, consider giving a little extra to help us reach our goal!
There will be also ways to help us raise funds during the event including purchasing additional drinks, participating in our auction, and collecting original artwork.
Reserve Your Spot
