ASL Tour at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis

About This Event

Join our Deaf docent, Angela Botz, for an ASL tour of two fascinating exhibitions—Quasi-Heartland and Somewhere Between Earth and Sky.

Quasi-Heartland features internationally renowned artist Haegue Yang, whose work spans large-scale installations, performative sculptures, collages, and staged performances. Known for combining sensory elements, ready-mades, and craft, Yang’s art defies traditional categories and challenges conventional boundaries.

Somewhere Between Earth and Sky showcases artist Theresa Baker, celebrated for her vibrant abstract works created on shaped artificial turf. Using paint, yarn, and natural materials such as willow, hides, bark, and husks, Baker’s dynamic pieces evoke sweeping landscapes and bird’s-eye views of prairie vistas.
