Dr. Janet Bertoni, Chair of Millersville University's Special Education department, in collaboration with MU's International Programs and Services, has developed a short-term study abroad service-oriented internship program to provide pre-service teachers and other human services majors the opportunity to sail with exceptional families throughout the year with Autism on the Seas. 

Student interns assist families with embarkation and disembarkation processes, meals, pool time, excursions, and private venue sessions specifically for our group of families. They have the unique opportunity of working alongside families and professionals in a recreational setting to see the full spectrum of challenges that families can face when traveling abroad.
