Reading Wild Tiers

About This Event

Reading Wild invites you into a deeper reading practice by blending a classic book club experience with a physical exploration of Place. Centered around one flagship book, over the course of a full calendar year, Reading Wild will explore the themes and major topics of our chosen book through regular book club discussion, as well as environmental exploration, writing practices, education programs, and more, for an immersive study that asks us to slow down and truly connect with the natural world around us. With three membership tiers, this book club is accessible to all who wish to participate in a close reading practice.

The 2027 Reading Wild pick is: North Woods by Daniel Mason

In partnership with the Mid-Atlantic Regional Center for Humanities (MARCH), Cedar Run is excited to offer multiple perks to book club members, including a tailored curriculum to help readers connect with both the book and the natural world. Regular book club meetings will be available to all membership tiers, meeting bi-monthly on the second Saturday of each month, alternating in-person and online. Alongside regular book club meetings, pop-up events and extra offerings will be available to all book club members, with some events requiring additional donation.

Join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month, 10:00am-11:00am!

Club Schedule:

  • Saturday, January 9th - Hybrid
