2026 Jampolsky Fellows and Scientists Meeting

About This Event

For more than 50 years, the Jampolsky Fellows & Scientists Meeting has brought together the community of fellows trained by Dr. Arthur Jampolsky and the scientists of the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute. This annual gathering is a time to reconnect, share ideas, and engage with current work across vision science and clinical research.

We look forward to welcoming fellows back to San Francisco from March 26–28, 2026 for a gathering centered on scientific exchange and conversation. The meeting continues Smith-Kettlewell’s long-standing tradition of collaboration, mentorship, and discovery.

Registration includes the opening evening reception; breakfast and lunch on Friday and Saturday; a special conference dinner; guided tours of the labs at Smith-Kettlewell (open to all registered attendees); and participation in the scientific program*. In addition to keynote speakers, fellows may volunteer to present 12-minute scientific talks on recent work or topics of interest, followed by in-depth discussion. Poster presentations will also be featured, offering additional perspectives and insight into current research efforts. This format continues a long tradition of rigorous but collegial dialogue that has defined JFSM for decades.

* Participation in the scientific program is limited to fellows and scientists.
