Digital Realities: Protecting Youth in the Digital Age

The digital world plays an important role in how young people learn, connect, and build relationships, but it also presents risks many families may not fully recognize. From online exploitation and unsafe interactions to rapidly changing apps and platforms, protecting children and teens requires awareness, open conversations, and practical tools.

Join TESSA of Colorado and the ICAC Task Force for Digital Realities, a free community conversation focused on online safety. Presentations from Roblox, TikTok, the Colorado Springs Police Department, TESSA, and other community groups will offer insight into digital risks, prevention strategies, and ways families can help young people use technology safely and responsibly.

Digital Realities will take place Sunday, August 23, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the ENT Center for the Arts, 5225 N. Nevada Ave. Parents, educators, youth-serving professionals, community organizations, and teens are encouraged to attend. Refreshments will be provided. With support from Wings Credit Union and participating community partners, this event will create space for honest conversation, shared learning, and stronger prevention efforts across our community.
