Join us for our 6th Annual Spelling Bee Fundraiser, a fierce competition featuring some of the best adult spellers in the area that also serves as a key fundraising activity for the Center. In addition to sharing students’ and staff’s stories of triumphs in technology, perseverance, and creativity as well as a brief overview of the DLC mission, we’re featuring a celebrity host, Pulitzer Prize-winning Stephen Henderson; a captivating storyteller from The Moth, Dame Wilburn; celebratory music from the legendary DJ La Roc; great food; and fabulous fellowship with the DLC community.
All funds raised will provide financial resources for the Center in support of basic needs such as books, teaching materials, technology, community outreach, and staff.
Plus, Dominican Literacy Center celebrates its 35th birthday this year, making this 6th Annual Spelling Bee Fundraiser all the more special!
Registration is open!
Audience Member tickets are $40.
Competitor tickets are $30 for as long as competitor seats are available. Just make sure you already have your team lined up—complete with a team name—at the time of ticket purchase.
