Hey guys my name is Danny Melnick and I am from Long Beach Island, New Jersey however I currently live in New York City in the Financial District! I work as a Marketing Analyst for American Express. In June of 2024, I wrapped up my collegiate baseball career playing across three division one universities in five years. I played for Quinnipiac University, Rutgers University, and just finished my graduate year this past spring at Seton Hall University!

Upon retiring my playing career, I have gained a huge passion for running as well as other endurance sports. I am someone who loves to compete and continuing to grow my fitness and complete races as well as going through a prep for a race allows me to compete with myself to chase a goal as well as improvement within the sport!

I am running for The Army of Survivors to bring and raise awareness to the idea of sexual violence in sports amongst athletes across all levels and ages. With being an athlete my entire life, I feel as if I want to shine a light on those effected by these acts and that no athlete should ever feel hindered from their performance due to an act of sexual violence amongst their peers and coaches.

I want to be able to run for those effected by these acts and raise awareness to these issues that occur during athletics. No athlete should ever get their potential limited due to an act of sexual violence within their sport and career!
