Program Information
"I fell for an IRS scam. I did not think I owed taxes but I was scared. I knew better but I paid the scammer anyways." – George, 92, Gilbert AZ
It’s heartbreaking, but unfortunately, it’s reality—and now we need to come together as one community to stop these scams and cybercrime targeting our older adults.
Generous community support from sponsors like you allows ROSE to provide valuable scam educational presentations to seniors—at NO COST to them.
Your sponsorship can help educate seniors and ensure their retirement years are the best of their lives. You can help protect them.
Testimonial - "Thank you for all that good information. I almost got taken thank God l read your information before the fact. Please keep it coming l appreciate it." Program attendee
So What Am I Sponsoring?
ROSE is the leading force in delivering effective, concise, and face-to-face awareness and prevention programs to older adults (and their families) so that they will be aware of the types of scams.
Through thoughtful content and passionate speakers, ROSE helps protect our vulnerable older adults and their hard-earned assets. We engage with local, regional, and national financial crime and cybersecurity experts to evaluate and update the programs with the most current and relevant content.
ROSE has created a sponsorship program to engage the community and build our operational capacity, increasing the reach of our valuable program throughout Arizona.
Our Fraud Awareness and Protection Program is designed to last 1.5 to 2 hours, with Q&A. Realizing that this can be long, we have broken it into four parts, each with protection tools. Each of these shorter programs is designed to last 1 hour with Q&A.
- Anatomy of a Scam - attendees will learn how to recognize a scam and how their information gets into the wrong hands.
- Antivirus, Updates & More - attendees will learn about antivirus software, updates, property deeds, and charity verification.
- Online Accounts & WiFi - attendees will learn about passwords, passkeys, MFA, safer WiFi, IRS IP Pin, Medicare, and Social Security.
- Credit, Finances, & Safer Communication - attendees will learn about credit freeze, credit monitoring, and safer communication with emails and text messages.
Your support can help the older adults protect themselves against scams and protect their assets in the process.
