About This Event

Parent Connect (Virtual) with DSNMC

Parent Connect is a new bi-monthly virtual gathering designed for parents and caregivers in the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County (MD) to connect, share experiences, and learn together.

Raising a child with Down syndrome comes with unique joys, challenges, and questions—and no one understands that better than other parents and caregivers walking a similar path. Parent Connect offers a welcoming, facilitated space to engage with one another, discuss timely topics, and exchange resources, ideas, and lived experiences in a supportive environment.

Each session will be guided by a featured topic to help frame the conversation while leaving room for open discussion, peer support, and practical takeaways. Topics will evolve throughout the year based on community needs and interests, and will focus on both day-to-day parenting considerations and broader issues impacting families.

January 6, 2026 Session

Our first Parent Connect of the year will focus on setting goals for 2026, finishing the second half of the school year strong, preparing for summer, and positioning parents and caregivers for success in the months ahead. This session will emphasize reflection, planning, and shared strategies to help families feel grounded and prepared as the new year unfolds.
