Hi, I’m Drew. And this year I will be running the NYC Marathon.
Not because I love pain (although at this point, maybe I do), but because I wanted to challenge myself in a way I never thought I could. Running started as a personal goal, a way to push myself mentally and physically. After completing several 5Ks and 10Ks, I took on the Dallas Half Marathon in December 2024. I was hooked. I decided it was time to make the leap to full marathons.
NYC will be my second full marathon, coming just three weeks after Chicago. I’m chasing my Abbott World Marathon Major star, one mile at a time.
But this isn’t just about running for me, it’s about making it count. I’m running to raise money for The Army of Survivors, an organization working to end sexual abuse in sports and support survivors. As a former college athlete and a dad to kids who are now competing in sports, this hits close to home. Every kid should be able to chase their dreams safely, with the support they deserve.
If you’re able to donate, even a few dollars, it truly helps. Thank you for supporting me, this mission, and all the people we’re running for.
