From Confinement to Culinary Careers - Hosted by Glenn E. Martin
Join Drive Change donor Glenn E. Martin at his Sugar Hill home for an evening supporting Drive Change, and learn more about an organization providing culinary training and support services for young people involved in the legal system. Through their paid program, Drive Change gives young people aged 18-25 the tools and resources to start their careers in the hospitality industry, allowing them to gain economic mobility, stability, and break the cycle of incarceration.
Award-winning chef, restaurateur, author, and activist Alexander Smalls will join Drive Change Executive Director, Kalilah Moon, for a conversation around the role the hospitality industry plays in creating meaningful career opportunities for justice-involved young adults.
The evening will include a menu of light bites curated and created by alumni of the Drive Change Fellowship program, accompanied by refreshments.
We welcome donations in lieu of attendance. Every dollar matters and helps Drive Change provide meaningful training and essential support to young New Yorkers.
All donations are tax deductible, to the extent permitted by law, with 100% of proceeds will support Drive Change. All donations up to the first $5,000 will be matched by Glenn E Martin.
