Join the East Carolina Study Center on January 26, 2026 for our Seminar Series with Dr. Sunghan Kim, an associate professor in the ECU's School of Engineering's Department of Pediatrics. 

He will speak on "What can we learn from modern astronomy about the biblical worldview?"

Career Bio: Dr. Sunghan Kim joined ECU in 2012 after completing three years of post-doctoral training at the UCLA Neurosurgery department as a biomedical engineer. Since then, he has been teaching biomedical and electrical engineering courses. His research focuses on understanding the relation between cognitive declines and the brain’s functional connectivity by analyzing EEG signals. His research lab, BEACoN Lab., carries out various cognitive neuroscience research projects involving ECU students and even local high school students.
