Ever dreamed of racing in one of the iconic swan boats at the Swan Derby? Now is your chance!
Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine is giving a lucky supporter the opportunity to become an official jockey in LVIM’s swan boat during the 2027 Swan Derby Race on Friday, April 30, 2027, at Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland.
From June 1 through July 31, every $10 entry gives you a chance to race while helping provide free healthcare for the medically underserved in our community. The winner will be selected during a live drawing on LVIM’s Facebook page on Friday, July 31, at Noon.
Participants must be 18 years or older to enter. The selected winner must be available to participate in the 2027 Swan Derby and be physically capable of participating in the race.
Whether you have attended the Swan Derby for years or have always wanted to experience the excitement from inside the boat, this is your opportunity to paddle for a purpose and become part of one of Lakeland’s most beloved community events.
