Distinguished Speaker Series with Author Virginia Evans

On March 22, Virginia Evans will visit Tryon to talk about her best-selling novel, The Correspondent. In this debut novel that jumped to #1 on the NY Times Best Seller list, Virginia Evans introduces 73-year-old Sybil Van Antwerp, a divorced grandmother, retired lawyer, who tries to heal old wounds through letter writing. Unexpectedly, letters from someone in her past force her to examine one of the most painful periods of her life.

Seating is limited to 300.  Doors will open at 2:30 pm. Signed copies of the book will be available for purchase after the talk.

4:00 Reception at Lanier Library

Due to space limitations, the reception is limited to 100 attendees.The library is located next door to the Tryon Fine Arts Center. Registration for the reception is separate from the general admission to the talk. 

Free public admission to both events thanks to support from the Kirby Endowment Fund at the Polk County Community Foundation.
