Epilepsy Awareness Day at Elitches and The Purple Duck Chase - July 11, 2026

Join us for Epilepsy Awareness Day at Elitch Gardens and the Purple Duck Chase, all happening on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Purple Duck Chase -

Anyone anywhere can sponsor ducks and join in the fun.  Purple Ducks will race down the Lazy River of Elitch Gardens in the 10th Annual Purple Duck Chase.  Duck sponsorships start at $5.00 with discounts for multiples. The race will air live on facebook so you can enjoy the thrill of watching them race.

Ducks will be numbered and numbers published as we get to closer to the race.   Cash prizes will be awarded to the sponsors of the first three ducks to cross the finish line, adding an extra element of excitement to this entertaining event. It's a fantastic way to engage with the festivities and contribute to the cause. 

Epilepsy Awareness Day at Elitches - 

Enjoy a day of fun at Elitch Gardens while raising awareness throughout the day. Take advantage of our special offer with highly discounted daily tickets that can be easily upgraded to a season pass within the park on that day if you wish. Each ticket includes a stub that allows you to conveniently upgrade your pass. 

In addition to the fantastic theme park experience, an ice cream social is included in your day.  Enjoy ice cream and soft drinks while relaxing in a covered and shaded pavilion. A great oppoortunity to connect with others in the epilepsy community. This will take place in the Mt. Evans pavilion between 2:00-4:00 PM.

If you're already a season's pass holder and would like to join us, we'd be delighted to have you! Please register on this site so that we can have you in the ice cream count. 

Event tshirts are available for a minimal charge if you'd like to enhance your experience. If not, we ask that you wear as much purple as you can in the park that day so we can recognize and connect with one another.

As a special perk, registered participants and Season Pass holders who are registered, will be granted early access into the park, allowing you to enjoy the Purple Duck Chase festivities from the start. We look forward to welcoming you for a day of enjoyment, community, and support for a great cause at Elitch Gardens! You must have a paid admission, or seasons pass to view the Purple Duck Chase in person.
