When most people think of river creatures, large animals like fish, beavers, and amphibians come to mind. In reality, our streams are teeming with small life forms. Macroinvertebrates are tiny creatures tat tell us a big story about the health of our streams. Join us to collect, identify, and learn about these amazing indicators of water quality in Gore Creek!
This is a free event open to all ages, but donations to support the Eagle River Coalition are welcome. Light snacks will be provided!
Eagle River Coalition is a small non-profit with a mission of advocating for the health of the Eagle River Watershed through research, education, water quality monitoring, and restoration projects. Gore Creek flows directly into the Eagle River, meaning it's health is tied to health of everything downstream.
Gravity Haus is a modern mountain hotel and social club in the heart of Vail Village. They strive to combine outdoor recreation and community with curated experiences designed for travelers, remote workers, and locals alike.
