Junior Famers 2024 registration

About This Event

“We are growing a better world for our children and better children for our world.”

For the budding tween/early teen Farmer with weekly sessions, Monday through Friday starting at 9am to 3pm

The Junior Farmer program welcomes eager, hardworking, responsible participants 10-14 years old to join our Agricultureal Education team out in the field to dig in with planting, harvesting, weeding, soil fertility, pasture management, and basic animal husbandry.

Our Junior Farmers will spend Mondays and Fridays up in our FarmPark with our Earth Keepers program, focusing on caring for our FarmPark animal herd, Glow Dome education space, and serving as leaders to our younger Earth Keepers. Tuesday through Thursday our Junior Farmers will spend the day with our Agriculture team and, as a member of the crew, will enagae in tasks necessary to the operation and production of the farm.

Each week will focus on a different component of farming such as: Compost Systems & Applications, Pasture Management & Animal Rotation, Beneficials & Pollinators, Farm to Plate: Harvest & Storage, Seeding & Planting, Water on the Farm.

*The Junior Farmer program is meant for children who are excited to work hard and learn. Attendees will spend time working in the fields, with our animals, and helping the farm run smoothly. Required Waiver for all registrants: 

Refund Policy with agreement checkbox “I have read and agree to The Farm Collaborative’s Refund Policy”

  • “The Farm Collaborative requires advance notice if you would like to cancel your registration. We have hired staff and have ratios set so that your children are offered a high quality camp experience. If we are notified 45-90 days before the start of the camp session we are able to give a refund of 75% of the registration cost and 30-45 days prior to start of camp we will refund 50% of registration cost. Less than 30 days notice before the start of the camp session we are unable to give a refund due to the last minute nature and the difficulty of filling the empty spots before the start of the session. If there is a week that you cannot attend and you would like to donate your registration amount we ask that you give us 3 weeks notice so that we can work to fill the open spot.”
