Registration ends Friday, 10/16/2026 3:00pm EDT

About This Event

Are you happy? If not, what can science teach us about living a happier life?  Join Easttown Library Foundation for its 2026 STEM for Adult Lecture, The Happiness Workshop, with Dr. Eric A. Zillmer, professor of psychology and the director of The Happiness Lab at Drexel University.

The Happiness Workshop will examine what recent research and centuries of wisdom tell us about what contributes to joy and contentment in our lives.  You will learn how the study of happiness, the growing, evidence-based field of positive psychology, aims to find solutions to happiness challenges that can bring positive change to our lives and environments.

Dr. Zillmer, an award-winning teacher and leader of a creative think tank that investigates the ingredients of happiness for individuals and communities, will discuss the meaning of happiness and its place in our lives and society.  Drawing on recent science and the ideas of great thinkers, he will share practical tips on how we can increase our own happiness and well-being.
