About This Program

The purpose of the Erik Hite Foundation Emergency Relief Fund is to provide emergency financial assistance to public safety employees and their immediate family members during times of tragedy and unforeseen medical hardship.

Who It’s For 
Public Safety personnel in Southern Arizona—including law enforcement, fire, dispatch, and corrections—and their immediate family members facing unexpected hardship. 

What It Provides 
Emergency financial assistance during times of crisis, including: 

  • Death of a loved one (funeral or travel expenses) 

  • Serious illness or injury 

  • Medical bills or lost wages 

  • Financial strain from caregiving responsibilities 

How to Apply 

  • Complete the application form 
  • Include required details (payroll ID, supervisor signature) 

  • Attach supporting documents (bills, invoices, medical records) 

  • Submit for committee review 

Non-participants may be eligible for up to $3,000, while contributing participants may receive up to $5,000. 

What to Expect 

Applications are reviewed for eligibility and financial needs. If approved, funds are issued directly to the recipient to provide immediate relief.
