Support The Elephants and the Grass
The Elephants and the Grass, produced by Philamedia, is a powerful documentary that gives voice to the people most affected by the war in South Sudan. This film was born from Philamedia's longstanding collaboration with Water is Basic, an organization dedicated to addressing urgent needs in South Sudan and neighboring countries, including access to clean water. Inspired by the resilience of the South Sudanese people, The Elephants and the Grass goes beyond traditional storytelling, highlighting themes of trauma, tribalism, and the human cost of conflict.
The film involved a remarkable team effort, with South Sudanese partners and Rwandan producers. Together, they created a story that brings the South Sudanese experience to life in an intimate and respectful way.
