About This Event
Join us on September 5th at 10am as we welcome Dr. Mike Pappas from Children's Intensive Caring Pediatrics to discuss how to keep your kids healthy while going back to school.
Dr. Mike Pappas has dedicated more than three decades to caring for children, with 34 years of experience in general pediatrics and 30 years serving in pediatric intensive care. After years of providing compassionate care in hospital settings, he opened his own practice in 2001, which is proudly celebrating 25 years of serving families and the community this year. His commitment, expertise, and passion for children’s health continue to make a lasting impact.
He'll be discussing evidence-based strategies to support immune health, including nutrition, sleep, physical activity, stress management, vaccinations, hygiene, and when supplements may or may not be appropriate. We can also address common questions specific to children with Down syndrome, such as increased susceptibility to respiratory infections and practical ways to reduce illness during the school year.
