About This Event
General Volunteers are the foundation of Equestrian Bridges. This is the required first step for all volunteers before progressing into additional volunteer opportunities and advanced training levels. It is the perfect starting point for anyone wanting to get involved, learn, and support our mission. No prior horse experience is required — just a willingness to help and a heart for service.
$40 General Volunteer Application & Training Fee | Ages 16+ (Valid Driver’s License Required)
Current students may qualify for a discounted volunteer training registration fee. Please contact volunteer@equestrianbridges.org with proof of current student enrollment to receive a student registration code.
What You’ll Do:
• Assist with daily barn and stable care
• Support basic office, event, and fundraising tasks
• Help keep our facilities clean, safe, and welcoming
What You’ll Gain:
• Hands-on training in stable management and horse care basics
• Opportunities to earn community service hours
• An EB volunteer T-shirt as a thank-you
• The opportunity to work alongside horses while supporting meaningful programs
• A pathway into Session Volunteer and Advanced Volunteer opportunities

At Equestrian Bridges, the safety and wellbeing of both our horses and participants is a top priority. Our volunteer training program provides hands-on education in horse handling, barn safety, and program operations to ensure volunteers feel confident and prepared while supporting our mission.
The $40 fee helps support volunteer training materials, educational resources, staff instruction, volunteer apparel, and continued investment into maintaining a safe and successful environment for our horses, volunteers, and community.
