Maryland Day 2025

About This Event

Join us on Sunday, March 23 between 12:00 and 4:00 pm. This is a free event.

This Maryland Day we look at our relationship with the Chesapeake Bay. How can we work together to keep the Bay and all of those who depend on it healthy?

Are you fascinated with osprey and want to share that wonder with your family? Families will enjoy storytelling and crafts from a local author's heartwarming story of two ospreys that build a nest, raise three babies, and defend against predators. Be inspired and feel connected emotionally with these beautiful creatures!

Are you aware that menhaden is a keystone species in American waters? Even though it is crucial for many fish, mammals and marine birds- like osprey- the fish is faced with localized depletion in the Chesapeake Bay. Learn how the industrial menhaden fishing industry is affecting Bay ecosystems and what advocates suggest you can do about it.
