Wild About Bluebirds - Morning Program

Morning Session: 10 am - 12:30 pm

The same program will be presented at the morning and afternoon sessions.           

$45/ group of 2 (includes one nest box kit)
$35/ individual adults (includes one nest box kit)
$10/ additional child under 18 (does not include a nest box kit - must be purchased in conjunction with a group or individual registration)

 

This program is designed with adults and teens in mind. Suitable for ages 7 and up.

Registration Includes:
-one (1) bluebird nest box kit and instructor-led build
-bluebird presentation
-guided hike

Prepare the way for this spring's bluebirds with a brand new nest box. Hike the bluebird nestbox trail at Owl's Hill and learn how this simple, but critical research project helped bring the Eastern bluebird from a threatened species to a common backyard bird. Your group will build its own bluebird nestbox in preparation of spring and learn how to find the perfect spot for you to mount it in your yard.

To protect the wildlife, pets are not permitted at the Nature Sanctuary.

REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds for programs you cannot attend, however, you may transfer your ticket to a friend, colleague or family member by calling us prior to the program day.
  • CANCELLATION: Programs are rain or shine. We will, however, cancel a program if Williamson County is under a severe weather warning issued by the National Weather Service. Participants will be notified of cancellations by email. If a program is cancelled, you will receive a credit toward Day Passes (valid for 30 days).

FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY:

  • Please DO NOT attend if you are not feeling well or have recently been exposed to someone with a respiratory illness.
  • Our outdoor portable toilets each have hand sanitizers inside.
  • Please bring refillable water bottles. We do not have a communal water fountain.
  • Insect repellant and sunscreen is recommended (depending on the season).

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS

By participating in Wild About Bluebirds...I understand that my visit may involve physical activities that have a potential risk of injury. I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, damages or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with my visit. I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I may have as a result of participating in this program against Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary (OHNS) and their community partners, officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers. I fully release and discharge OHNS, their community partners, officials, officers, directors, employees, agents and volunteers from any claim, demand or cause of action for injuries, damage or loss which I may have or which may accrue to me that may be asserted by or on behalf of me as a result of my participating in this program.

I also grant Owl’s Hill Nature Sanctuary the irrevocable right to use photographs and video or audio recordings of me made while participating in this program for training and/or promotional purposes, in any medium, without pay.
