Own the Feed: Girls Who Think, Create, and Lead

Our media lab for girls & gender expansive youth (ages 13-18) will explore ways to consume and create media in more mindful and impactful ways. Youth will gain hands-on experience and practical strategies to notice, question, and reshape the media around them from other youth rising stars in the RI media landscape. Doors will open at 8:30am with breakfast, and the program will start promptly at 9am.

This interactive media lab will feature group discussions led by media insiders and opportunities for creative self-expression. Space is limited, don't wait to register for this brand new youth program from Women's Fund of Rhode Island & Ocean State Media.

Media can take on many forms and touches each part of our lives. It surrounds us every day--in writing, podcasts, photography, journalism, movies, and making art and music--media is more than posting to your story because you're not just in the audience, you're a creator!
