03.29.26 Spring Hike

About This Event

March Spring Equinox Nature Walk/Hike Sunday March 29th 1:00-3:00 pm

Join FODR volunteers, FODR members, and guests of members for an outing near the Dragon in King & Queen County. At this time in late March we expect early spring flowering plants to be emerging and we are hopeful for a warm day. Bring your children or grandchildren along for the walk. Our nature guides will have scavenger hunt sheets for interested participants who want to search for signs of wildlife commonly observed at this time of year. Snacks will be provided at the end of the event as we all get together to talk about our experience.

This hike is for FODR members and their guests. If you are not currenty a member, go to https://www.dragonrun.org/membership.html to join. Those that register will receive an email with directions.

There are no bathroom facilities. Please plan for the weather. Wear shoes or boots to keep your feet dry in case of rain or muddy areas. We will offer light refreshments when you return. All hikes will start and end at the parking area and last for about two hours. We kindly ask that you leave your dog at home.

There will be two options for this event.  Select whether to participate in a slower nature walk, taking in the plant and animal life found in the Dragon Run watershed, or stretch those legs and join the longer brisk walk.

If you are registering more that one person, please include their contact information when signing up. Thank you.
Email hikemasterdragonrun@gmail.com if you have any questions. Also let us know if anyone in your party is age 12 or under.
