Art Week 2026: Brunch, Open Studios, and Exhibition

About This Event

Art Week Brunch + Open Studios + Exhibition
Thursday, Dec. 3, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., Public Reception
Free and open to the public.

Oolite Arts Art Week Brunch and Open Studios will take place on Thursday, December 3, 2026, 10:30am - 12:00pm at Oolite Arts, 924 and 928 Lincoln Road, offering visitors an opportunity to explore working spaces, meet resident creators, and view ongoing exhibitions at Oolite’s Lincoln Road galleries and studios. The events are free and open to the public. In addition, during Miami Art Week visitors will be able to visit Oolite Arts’ exhibition What Water Remembers.

Produced by Oolite Arts and curated by Sara Cluggish, What Water Remembers brings together a group of artists who use their work to reveal how histories are held, transformed, and transmitted through water. Moving across oceans, seas, rivers, rainstorms, canals, and other aquatic systems, the exhibition connects specific bodies of water with the people, histories, and environmental forces that have shaped them. The works draw from personal memory, oral traditions, mythology, archives, scientific and ecological systems, and material histories, returning to waterways marked by colonialism, extraction, migration, commerce, and environmental change.

Artists in What Water Remembers include Miya Ando, Ayesha Hameed, Adelita Husni-Bey, Saodat Ismailova, Lee Pivnik, Beatriz Santiago Muñoz, Juana Valdés, and Agustina Woodgate. The exhibition will be on view from November 18, 2026 through February 7, 2027.

This exhibition is made possible by the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and the Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners; The City of Miami Beach, Cultural Affairs Program, Cultural Arts Council; the Mayor and City Commissioners of Miami Beach. State of Florida; Department of State; Division of Arts and Culture; and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture; John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
