Exploring Health Equity Beyond IBD Diagnosis Lunch and Learn Series

The Exploring Health Equity Beyond IBD Diagnosis Lunch & Learn Series aims to address health disparities among underserved African Americans residing in the South St. Petersburg area. The program will serve a total of 80 participants, with 20 new individuals joining each Lunch & Learn series. Our Program Volunteer Ambassadors will take charge of recruiting and selecting participants from the specific zip codes of 33711, 33712, and 33705, ensuring a targeted outreach to local Neighborhood Associations, community health organizations and free clinics within the underserved Community Redevelopment Areas(CRA), local community churches and Walmart Health Centers. Through interactive 1 hour sessions, the program seeks to educate, empower, and promote better health outcomes for those affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) in the region.
