Friends of Barnabas (FOB) serves 270 special children in our Healthy Kids program. In this program, our patients with Down syndrome have an “extra chromosome” and are “extraordinary” individuals who impact their world with extra helpings of love and joy! 

FOB provides essential, interventional support for Down syndrome patients and their families in rural Honduras:

  • Referrals for surgery, 
  • Medications for corresponding cardiac, respiratory and gastrointestinal anomalies, 
  • Life-changing therapy appointments,
  • Parent education and peer support groups,
  • Training for at-home exercises that promote mobility, independence, and emotional well-being.

Together, we can ensure that every extraordinary child can live a life full of dignity, joy, and possibility.
