Join us for the first annual Raku Celebration on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This hands-on event invites participants to experience the excitement of Raku, a centuries-old Japanese pottery technique where pieces are removed from the kiln while glowing hot and transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art through rapid cooling in combustible materials. For $40, each participant will receive glaze, bisque firing, 12 ½ lbs of Raku clay, and the chance to fire their creations during the celebration. A grill will be set up on campus for a community tailgate, so bring something to share or cook and enjoy a day filled with creativity, fellowship, and fun.
