Paola Mendoza, JusticeAid's 2026 Artist in Residence, is offering a free, in-person workshop for the first 75 people to register.
"Dear Andrew" begins with a scenario based on actual events: As you're walking down the street, you find a wallet. When you pick it up, you discover it belongs to an ICE agent. What do you do?
This interactive event is an exercise in self-reflection and delves into the ideas we hold about anger, blame, revenge, forgiveness, redemption, and justice. Participants will have the opportunity to write their own letter to Andrew, the ICE agent who lives in the imagination of each individual in the room.
Those who have experienced this workshop with Paola have hailed it as cathartic, soul-searching, and revelatory. Anyone aged 10 and up is invited to attend this special event.
This event immediately precedes our Free Educational Forum: Seizing Control, ICE, Mass Surveillance and the Dismantling of the 4th Amendment, held at the same location, 4:30-6:30 pm. You are welcome to attend both events. Register for the Forum.
