2025 Sylvia Shelton Memorial Fall Luncheon

The Winston-Salem Street School is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, alternative high school, established in 2004 as a private initiative to provide at-risk students an opportunity to earn an accredited high school diploma and gain the necessary skills and tools to ensure educational, vocational, and personal success in life after high school. Our programs receive no state or federal funding and depend entirely on proceeds from special events and contributions from individuals, businesses, churches, and foundations.

• Luncheon proceeds support nearly 20% of our school’s annual budget.
• Luncheon historically attracts a sold-out audience of over 300 of our city’s leaders in business, education, and philanthropy.
• Highlights feature student testimonials as well as comments by staff and the board of directors.
