Plein Air painting is a term used to describe the act of painting outdoors. This class will introduce the student to the art of painting landscapes outdoors. In this class we will work partly in the garden in the back of the LeMoyne Art Gallery and the buildings in that area. Later we will decide with the other class members if we want to try some other location(s).
Students in this class will create paintings using an easel created for outdoor use and paint on-site using acrylic paint. The classes will usually meet two times at each location. We will work using a variety of different tools, including acrylic pain, canvas, drawing pads and painting mediums.
