Walk-up paper registration is available! Gates open at 10:00am.
The third annual Run for Hope 2025 is a family-friendly event in recognition and celebration of Domestic Violence Awareness Month presented by the partners of the Family Justice Center of Washington County collaborative.
Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome to attend! In addition to a 5k run or walk, food trucks, a DJ, bouncy house, face painting, a resource fair, emergency responder vehicles to explore, and more will be available.
Community members are welcome to attend without registering to participate in the 5k. Resource fair and kids activities are free!
Domestic Violence Awareness Month is represented by purple and purple ribbons. We want to see your finest, most creative, and fantastically festive purple outfits!
5k Run/Walk
All participants in the 5k Run/Walk must register (minors included) in advance.
Adult registration is $25, children under 17 are free. The registration fees support our Washington County nonprofit partners!
Registration for survivors is free- Contact agecies for more information.
Numbered bibs and swag bags can be picked up at the Check-in table on the day of the event.
This 5k is for people of all ages, abilities, and ADA accessible! Specific lanes will be designated for faster paces and slower paces.
This event is not a sponsored timed race. Participants interested in timing their run are invited to self-time (using a GPS watch or an app such as Strava or Pacer), and a large race clock will be provided at the start/finish line as well. Participants can do all or part of the 5k if they do not want to complete the full course.
Water will be available and stations will be located around the race perimeter.
A First Aid station will be on site.

Hare Field at 1147 NE Grant Street, Hillsboro, Oregon, 97124. (click for directions)
Parking lots are located around the entrance and across the street from the field. There is additional parking in the surrounding neighborhoods.
What to bring
Please plan to dress in comfortable (purple!) outfits and shoes. This event will be rain or shine, so dress for the occasion. We will have free water and snacks, food vendors for purchase will be available.
What not to bring
Hare Field is smoke-free and alcohol-free environment. Additionally, assistance animals are welcome but please leave your pets at home.

Donations
Donations to serve survivors of domestic violence in our community are encouraged.
Monetary donations can be made at the time of event registration and will be shared among the community domestic violence agencies.
The following donations will be also be accepted on the day of the event at the Check In tables. All items must be new, unopened and unexpired. Donations will be shared amongst agencies in our community which provide direct support to people who experience domestic violence:
- Gift cards (such as for gas, grocery, clothing, home stores)
- Diapers – All sizes
- Individually packaged snacks (such as granola bars, fruit snacks, applesauce/yogurt pouches)
- Full-size hygiene products –shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and deodorant only
- Laundry detergent
