About This Event
The partners of the Family Peace Center collaborative proudly present the 4th Annual Run for Hope, a family-friendly community celebration in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Every October, we come together to celebrate resilience, support survivors, and remind our community that no one has to navigate abuse alone.

Enjoy a morning full of fun for all ages, including:
- 5K Run/Walk
- FREE Kids 1K Fun Run
- Community Resource Fair
- Food trucks & live music
- Face painting & family activities
- Halloween Costume Contest
- And more!
Because Run for Hope falls on Halloween (October 31st), we invite everyone to come dressed in their favorite costume! Whether you're spooky, silly, or spectacular, we'd love to see your Halloween spirit. Costumes are encouraged (but never required), and prizes will be awarded during our Costume Contest!
5K Run/Walk
Whether you run, walk, jog, stroll, push a stroller, or simply come to cheer others on, your presence matters. Every participant helps show survivors that our community stands beside them and that no one has to navigate abuse alone.
Run for Hope is a community fun run, not a professionally timed race. Participants who wish to track their time are welcome to use their own GPS watch or running app (such as Strava or Pacer), and a large race clock will be visible at the start/finish line.
The course is:
- Open to all ages
- ADA Friendly*
- Family-friendly
- Stroller-friendly
- Walk or run at your own pace
*5k course has a100ft stretch that is barkdust
Water stations and a First Aid station will be available throughout the event.
Registration
We believe cost should never prevent someone from participating.
Adult registration is Pay What You Can, with a suggested donation of $35 per person. Participants under 17 register free.
All participants (including children) must register in advance to receive a race bib. Bibs may be picked up at the Check-In table on the morning of the event.
Don't forget to add a Run for Hope t-shirt when you register!
Your Registration Makes a Difference
Every registration donation supports the Family Peace Center Emergency Family Assistance Fund, allowing all 22 Family Peace Center partner agencies to respond quickly when survivors need help with essentials like emergency transportation, food, clothing, housing assistance, safety planning, and other urgent needs.
Your participation helps ensure survivors receive support wherever they enter our collaborative network.

What to Bring
Run for Hope is a rain or shine event, so dress for the weather, and don't forget your Halloween costume if you're feeling festive!
We'll provide complimentary water and light snacks, and food trucks will be on site with food and beverages available for purchase.
To help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone, please remember:
- THPRD campuses are smoke-free and alcohol-free.
- Service animals are always welcome.
- Please leave pets at home.
Want to make an even bigger impact?
Bring one (or more!) of our most-needed items to help stock the Survivor Community Center at Family Peace Center. Every donation goes directly to survivors and families served by our 22 partner agencies. Please bring new, unopened, and unexpired items to the Check-In table.
Most-needed items include:
- Gift cards (gas, grocery, clothing, home improvement, or general retail)
- Diapers (all sizes)
- Individually packaged snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, applesauce, yogurt pouches, etc.)
- Full-size hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothpaste, deodorant)
- Laundry detergent

Whether you're running, walking, volunteering, wearing an outrageously fun costume, or simply showing up in support, you're helping remind survivors that they are not alone and helping create a community where everyone can find safety, healing, and hope.
