Grand Opening

Join Family Promise in Anoka County in celebrating the Grand Opening of the new 8-unit Guest House, which will serve as temporary housing for Anoka County families experiencing homelessness. The Family Promise Guest House is more than a shelter – each unit includes its own kitchen and bathroom, allowing families more autonomy, privacy, and dignity. The trauma-informed design aspires to the hope that children may not even know their family is in a homelessness program. Join us on Tuesday, June 23 to celebrate, tour the new space, and learn more about the program vision. RSVPs are requested.

While over $3 million was made available for the project through a grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, additional support is needed to complete the project. About Family Promise: 

Family Promise has been empowering families in Anoka County experiencing homelessness since 2010. Since initially starting with a rotational model using volunteers and space at local faith communities to provide hospitality, meals, and overnight shelter, Family Promise has grown to offer a wide range of compassionate services to families in our community struggling with housing insecurity. The new construction will allow Family Promise to expand to serve more families in the shelter program, and to serve them in a way that is dignified and caring.
