Palliative Care Endowment

After years of dedicated service, our beloved Palliative Care Chaplain, Pastor Pat Weikart, is retiring in May.

During her time with us, Pastor Pat has truly elevated the role of spiritual care on our team. She has taught all of us what it is to care for the whole person and family. Pastor Pat not only provides spiritual care to our patients and families, she is also a trusted mentor who is often called upon to lead staff debriefs after a patient loss. Additionally, she has helped reshape our bereavement program to include HOPE group (our parent support group), biannual remembrance ceremonies, a monthly PEACE group for families at Ronald McDonald House, and an annual weekend retreat for bereaved siblings called Camp Molly.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 in honor of all that Pastor Pat has done to help Nemours patients, families, and Associates. Your gift will go to the Palliative Care Endowment, to help sustain the work Pastor Pat began for many years to come!

Give from Your Donor Advised Fund

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a centralized charitable account. It allows charitably inclined individuals, families, and businesses to make tax-deductible charitable donations of cash, publicly-traded stock, and, in some cases, certain illiquid assets, to a public charity.
