Join us for Rangeland Science 101! This presentation will go over the basics of rangeland management and ecology, with a focus on livestock grazing. After the talk, both Caroline and FRLT's Land Protection Manager and Ranch Manager Eveline LaRuccea will answer questions you have about the talk and Sierra Valley rangeland practices.
About the Speaker: Caroline Wade
Caroline Wade is a PhD candidate in Rangeland Science at the University of Alberta. She has an animal science degree from Cal Poly SLO and her Master's from New Mexico State focused on GPS tracking sheep and goats to better understand their grazing behavior and landscape distribution. Her PhD work is now looking at the effect of cattle grazing on soil carbon and vegetation diversity.
