About This Event

Whale Crochet Class
Date:
 Tuesday, September, 1, 2026
Time: 5:30 – 7:30 PM
Cost: $10
Supplies: Yarn provided but bring your own hooks

Attendees must register.

Join us for Tidepool Creature Crochet Night, an evening of crochet and learning about marine life! In partnership with Cabled Fiber & Yarn, this special program teaches participants to crochet their choice of a tidepool creature while learning about the organisms and zones of the intertidal ecosystem.

This crochet night has a unique purpose. Rather than taking your finished creature home, we invite you to donate it to Feiro, where it will become part of our interactive "Tidepool Toss" game used during children's camps and community outreach events. Your handmade creature will help teach young (and old!) learners about the animals that call our tidepools home and the different zones they inhabit. Don't worry, you'll receive the crochet pattern to take home so you can make another creature for yourself anytime!

This class is BYOH (Bring Your Own Hook) and is best suited for those who already know the basic crochet stitches (slip stitch, single crochet, increase, and decrease).

Settle in for a cozy evening as an instructor guides you step-by-step through creating your tidepool creature, with plenty of time to chat and enjoy the company of fellow crafters.

Space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot!
