    About

    California Capital & Investment Group is partnering with several Oakland community groups to provide much needed improvements to the Fred Finch Youth Center campus. Last year over 1,000 volunteers showed up to lend a hand and completed various cleanup and improvement projects over several weekends.
     
    This year we are continuing that effort. Over four weekends we will complete the following improvements:

    Landscape and build a stairway in front of the new Wellness Center.
    Create a new gathering space outside of Avalon House.
    Paint the exterior of the old schoolhouse building.
    Paint the interiors of the 2nd story offices in the Wellness Center.
    Create pathways and bench areas in the front of the facility.
    Plant trees along the pathway to the Rising Oaks facility. 

    In order to make the above projects a success, we need your help with donations and volunteers (please note that this year older children will be able to accompany their parents and help). Please make a donation and/or sign up for workday shifts below.

    Donations of any size are greatly appreciated.

    In addtion, we are looking for:
    6 donations of $750 for park benches
    3 donations of $1,100 for picnic tables
    1 donation of $1,000 for an outdoor, park-style barbecue

    Donors of $500 or more will be included on the event t-shirt (if received prior to ordering). Donations of benches and tables will include a donor plaque.
