Presented by The Pruno Fund

Exoneration is a Marathon Film Event

About This Event

The Pruno Fund invites you to join us for a special afternoon of documentary film and conversation exploring what happens after incarceration - and the extraordinary challenges facing people who must rebuild their lives after years taken from them.

This event is free and open to our invited guests. In lieu of admission, we encourage a donation to The Pruno Fund. Every gift helps provide wrongfully convicted individuals with the financial assistance, resources, training, and community they need to move forward and rebuild.

THE SECOND LIFE OF FREDDIE NOLE is a short documentary film that follows Freddie, a magnetic and deeply compassionate man, who spends his days meeting newly released citizens at the prison gates, offering not just a ride but a shot at redemption. The story unfolds over the course of a single day as Freddie, his wife, and his friend Steve - the first man he ever picked up - help Ed as he takes his first steps into freedom.

INNOCENCE SHOULD BE ENOUGH: What happens when an innocent person is sentenced to spend their life in prison? Unfortunately, innocence alone isn’t enough to overturn a conviction in Missouri and Kansas. From filmmaker Solomon Shields, this film examines the shocking flaws in the justice system by highlighting the work of the Midwest Innocence Project and the personal stories of those wrongfully convicted.
