Acrylic Landscape Painting Workshop with Allison Watson

10:00AM - 2:00PM

$225 future members, $215 for members

Experienced painters will build on their skills and new students will learn the basics. Paint still life, flowers, landscape, etc. You will have the opportunity to explore many techniques and subjects in two days. There will be many demonstrations by master artist Allison Watson.

Pigments

I recommend acrylic paint because if its versatility and “forgiving” quality. Students may use oil paint if they have had experience using it. Two students may share paint. Please do not buy cheap or craft paint. Use artist grade only and small or regular size tubes of paint.

Titanium White

Mars Black

Cadmium yellow (not Cadmium light)       

Cadmium Red, medium

Crimson

Phalo (phalocynine) Blue

Cobalt Blue

Burnt Sienna (optional)

Brushes (Brushes must be in good condition)

Rounds, flats, filberts in a variety of sizes from #3 to #14. You may use acrylic or clean oil or water color brushes.

Surfaces for Regular class – A variety of canvases or canvas panels from 6”x8”, 8”x10” or larger.  You may find these available in art supply stores.  Medium size canvas pad (not canvas paper).

Miscellaneous-

Cotton rags.

White Styrofoam pallet or china plates or another pallet.

Small sketch pad or computer paper (optional).

Pencils.

Carry bag or box.

(two students may share supplies)
