Drawing and Multi-Media Series with Nofa Dixon August 2026

Tuesdays: 8/25, 9/1, 9/8, 9/15, 9/22, 9/29 10/6, 10/ 13

10:00AM - 12:00PM

$450 Future Members 

$425 Members 

Supplies List:

. At least 2 clips

. Drawing pad no smaller than 18" X 24"

. Bring larger paper if you prefer to work large. 

. Try to bring good quality drawing paper: Rives BFK, Arches, or Strathmore

. Sketch book (8" x 10") for personal use and for thumbnail sketches 

. Color pencils, either Prismacolor or Spectracolor

. Metal ruler (24") or larger

. Fixative spray for charcoal or pastel

. Kneaded eraser

. Shammy

. Oil pastels or Cray-pas

. Drawing pencils: 2B, 4B and or 6 B

. Portfolio with some of your work (optional)

. Drawing board, which would be large enough for your paper

.Masking tape and or adhesive packing tape

. Scissors

. Magazines with interesting large images

The act of drawing is almost certain to heighten the act of observation, critical analysis, and eye/hand coordination. Participating in this class will increase awareness of composition and depth. Although this class is an introductory class to drawing, it is open to all levels of expertise.

Curriculum to include self-portrait study, still-life observation, experimental drawing, collage techniques, and more. 

Some student-provided materials will be required. A list will be coming soon.
