This program is intended to gain practice in the fundamentals of setting up a still life in acrylic paint through all the stages of drawing,

underpainting, color mixing, application techniques, and proper layering. Much of this lesson can be applied to any representational

subject for painting in acrylic. Great for beginners through advanced. 

Materials

12"x12" prepared canvas

Palette (regular or disposable grey toned palette paper)

Small to mid size palette knife for mixing (T 2 size)

Small spray bottle

Large water cup for cleaning/brushes

Brushes

1 Large Flat synthetic acrylic brush (size 30)

2 Medium Flat synthetic acrylic brushes (size 8)

1 Small Flat synthetic acrylic brush (size 4)

1 Ex Small Flat synthetic acrylic brush (size 2)

GOLDEN Open Acrylic Medium

Paints (I use Liquitex or Golden)

Paynes Gray

Titanium White

Burnt Sienna

Dioxazine Purple

Alizarin Crimson

Cadmium Red Light

Yellow Ochre (or Oxide)

Cadmium Yellow Light

1 inch blue painters tape Cobalt Turquoise

HB pencil and kneaded eraser
