What is the Youth Wellness Retreat?

Welcome to the 3rd Annual Public Safety Employees & Active Military Youth Wellness Retreat presented by the Erik Hite Foundation! This is a FREE wellness retreat for teens of public safety employees & active military to explore contemporary issues that our teens face by sharing tools in a safe and fun environment.  Throughout the day, teenagers aged 12-19, will venture into a variety of engaging, exciting, and enlightening activities which will include demonstrations, wellness exercises, workshops, and a community career fair.

Attendees will receive free school supplies, raffle prizes, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of ten $500 wellness scholarships. 

PLUS: There will be a special drawing for two of the scholarships exclusively for early bird check-ins the day of the event so be sure to arrive before 8:30 a.m. for an extra chance to win!

DISCLAIMER: We extend a warm invitation to parents to join us for both the opening and closing ceremonies of this special event. Beyond those times, additional supervision of child(ren) is not required.

What to Bring

Here are some things your child(ren) should do/ bring with them the day of:

  • Wear comfortable clothes/shoes
  • Bring a water bottle 
  • Bring a hat 
  • APPLY SUNSCREEN!
