The Adrienne and Bill Simmons Women’s Tennis Scholarship

Registration has ended

About This Event

My name is Adrienne Simmons and you may not know me but I was one of the fortunate students to benefit from scholarships to complete my education.  As an international student from Canada, the scholarship I received provided me with the opportunity to play on the tennis team, build great friendships with the coach, Walter Shinn, and my fellow student-athletes.  This opportunity to get an outstanding education along with the ability to play tennis really shaped my future.

A few years ago, I was inducted into the Flagler Athletics Hall of Fame.  During my speech that evening, I vowed to help current student just as I had received help from others in the past.  Shortly after, I started the Adrienne and Bill Simmons Endowed Scholarship for Women’s Tennis.  My husband and I have contributed over $15,000 to establish this scholarship and I ask you to consider joining us today with a gift.

While my husband and I continue to make gifts for this scholarship, we ask you to consider your own gift to make this scholarship a reality sooner.  Our goal is to raise the remaining $9,500 by Friday, November 6th.  Once this goal is met, a member of the Women’s Tennis team will receive a scholarship each year going forward.

Please join me in supporting this scholarship.  It will help students focus on their education, athletic pursuits, and lessen their financial burden.  It made the difference in my education and with your help, we will make a difference in the lives of students today.
